Dr. Byron R. Martin

Dr. Byron R. Martin, Ph.D., is a leadership consultant, higher education executive, and organizational strategist with more than 15 years of experience driving institutional change across higher education, nonprofit, and faith-based sectors. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Doc Martin Solutions LLC, he partners with organizations to strengthen leadership capacity, align strategy with mission, and improve organizational effectiveness through evaluation and assessment.

Dr. Martin’s work centers on helping institutions identify and close structural gaps that limit growth and innovation. His approach integrates organizational assessment, strategic planning, and leadership coaching to help leaders make data-informed decisions that create lasting impact. He has worked with universities, foundations, and community organizations to design systems that improve accountability, measure outcomes, and enhance performance.

Previously, Dr. Martin served as Assistant Vice Provost at Carnegie Mellon University and held senior leadership roles at Valparaiso University, where he led university-wide initiatives to improve organizational alignment, academic engagement, and faculty development. His experience also includes years of service in ministry and faith-based leadership, where he focused on community building and leadership development within diverse congregations and networks.

Dr. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University, a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Abilene Christian University. He continues to work with higher education institutions, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to strengthen their leadership systems, evaluate impact, and build sustainable models of organizational growth.

Dr. Byron Martin’s accomplishments have earned him recognition as an emerging leader in his field. He was honored by the Northwest Indiana Times as one of the region’s “Top 20 Under 40” young professionals, celebrating his impact on higher education and community initiatives. Colleagues and clients alike laud his ability to bring people together around a shared vision, thanks to his blend of empathy, analytical skill, and inspiring leadership.

At the heart of Dr. Martin’s work is a leadership philosophy grounded in systems thinking and justice. He believes that lasting transformation is achieved by examining and redesigning the systems that shape institutional life, from policies and programs to organizational culture, while also empowering individuals to lead with awareness and accountability. By viewing challenges through a holistic, justice-focused lens, Dr. Martin consistently activates change at both the individual and systemic levels. Whether he is coordinating a university-wide strategic plan, advising a nonprofit board, or coaching an executive team, he remains dedicated to building environments where all members can thrive.

Minister Joshua Jackson

Joshua Jackson is an accomplished pastoral leader and ministry strategist with more than twelve years of executive-level church leadership experience. He is dedicated to helping congregations flourish through Christ-centered preaching, intentional leadership development, and strategic ministry planning.

He has served in a variety of contexts—from large suburban churches to rapidly growing urban congregations—demonstrating a proven ability to connect effectively across cultures and generations. Most recently, as Senior Minister at Rural Hill Church of Christ in Antioch, Tennessee, Mr. Jackson guided the congregation toward greater diversity, a younger demographic, and increased volunteer engagement, while equipping emerging leaders for long-term ministry impact. His leadership experience also includes revitalizing ministries as Lead Minister at Argyle Church of Christ, and developing thriving discipleship systems as Associate Minister at North Atlanta Church of Christ, where he relaunched a small groups ministry for more than 1,200 adults and created leadership training programs still in use today.

Mr. Jackson holds a Master of Divinity from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Abilene Christian University. He integrates advanced biblical scholarship with practical ministry expertise, focusing on equipping leaders, cultivating healthy church cultures, and aligning organizational vision with actionable strategies for growth.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Mr. Jackson has served as a church strategy consultant, developed adult discipleship curricula, and authored essays and articles on church leadership and homiletics. He remains committed to helping churches fulfill their mission by building stronger leaders, healthier systems, and more effective discipleship pathways.
